Left New York City, USA. Flight to Barcelona, Spain

7/30/2025: Overnight flight to Barcelona from JFK.

Flight was good.

I switched flights several days earlier and didn’t realize I lost my midnight meal, which sucked because I ended up paying $6 for a bag of chips, $6 for a hot tea and earlier paid $19 for a rum and coke. I don’t have many regrets in life. But I do regret paying $6 for a cup of hot water and a tea bag. Even if it did come from London. Seriously, JFK and most US airports are out of control with these costs. It’s funny how passengers mull around deciding what to buy from the Cobi or Hudson News shops… it’s not that they can’t decide what to eat. It’s that they can’t decide what will be the most worthwhile thing to eat given how much they’re about to spend (I can see people practically calculating cost of the total package per ounce against dollar). But my flight was delayed and I didn’t bring any long sleeves… sounds crazy but Barcelona is HOT right now and I was cold in the airport. I could’ve gone into the bathroom and ran the faucet until the water got hot. But then best I didn’t. It’s JFK, NYC, USA, Atlantic Ocean.

Boarded airplane at 1:30am.

Arrived in Barcelona on 7/31 at 3:00pm Spain time (approx. 8 hrs travel time + 6 hrs ahead of NYC).

Logged in to free airport WiFi to get connected because my int’l phone plan wouldn’t connect.

Got taxi to rental home.

Done.

I did it.

I live in Spain now.
