May your day be as happy as elephants at the water's edge.

Before I became an accountant, I worked as a teacher, working abroad as a Peace Corps volunteer in Lesotho, Southern Africa, and under private contract in Cairo, Egypt. I have a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Wichita State University, a Master’s in International Development from New York University and many years later, a Master’s in Accountancy from the University of Phoenix. One of my greatest accomplishments has been working with nonprofits in helping them uphold high standards of accountability in the nonprofit sector which in turn helps them help those in need. For about 20 years, I’ve been wanting to write about my experiences travelling throughout the world. Year after year, I tried doing this on the side, but it never happened. But what did happen was my incessant story telling about all the amazing adventures I had. I often felt like Forrest Gump at the bus stop telling his life story to strangers seated next to him. I have traveled to 35 countries, and now it’s time to write.
