About

Before I became an accountant, I worked as a teacher, working abroad as a Peace Corps volunteer in Lesotho, Southern Africa, and under private contract in Cairo, Egypt. I have a B.A. in Elementary Education from Wichita State University, an M.A. in International Development from New York University and a M.S. in Accountancy from the University of Phoenix. One of my greatest accomplishments has been working with nonprofits in helping them uphold high standards of accountability in the nonprofit sector which in turn helps them help those in need. I have traveled to 30 countries. I can count to ten in five languages, but still only fluent in English. I have dabbled in speaking Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Swahili, Arabic, and Sesotho. I am determined to become fluent in Spanish by the end of 2023.
